Welcome! I’m Jessica and I’d love to share some ways to make your life (and my own) easier, simpler, and more enjoyable.
I’m new to the blogging world, so we’ll get through this together. This originally started as my online diary to keep family and friends up to date as we went through the most difficult time in our lives, the birth and death of our first baby. We continue to work through our grief and encourage others going through similar situations. Please read her story here!
Since then, we’ve added two more incredible, energetic kiddos and life is full of joy and chaos and a lot of noise! I’m constantly looking for ways to make life run a little more smoothly, while still having fun, maintaining relationships, and not losing myself in the process.
So let’s do this! Let’s find those simple and delicious recipes, those quick tips for running a tight ship, those fun and easy projects to do with the kiddos. And let’s be friends too! Let’s lean on each other for support. Let’s share date night and girls’ night ideas. Let’s get through life together. So if it’s 30 minutes before your dinner guests arrive and you just want the dang recipe without scrolling through four pages of everything at the farmer’s market, I’m your girl. Likewise, if you’re struggling through one of the most difficult times in your life and you need a little more heart and perspective, I’m here for you.
Want more? I’m a California girl, born and raised, transplanted to Texas where I found a man and had some babies, and currently living in America’s Heartland (that’s the midwest, more specifically Nebraska). I love Jesus, family, volunteering, cheese, and essential oils (almost as much as cheese). I have a huge heart for pregnancy and babies, something I didn’t realize until I had my first baby. I’m totally and completely in love with my husband, Tim, who balances me and makes me laugh everyday. I have yoga goals, the first one being to start doing yoga, like regularly. I worry way more than I should about things that are completely out of my control and I’m striving daily to give all that over to God. Basically, I’m just a girl, starting a blog and asking you to join me!
